​​​​​​The Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association (“USGA”) and The Royal & Ancient Golf Club (“R&A”) will govern all play. The Tournament’s Rules Committee will define Local Rules (defined here and the Notice to Competitors) in conjunction with the Rules of Golf prior to the competition. All decisions including Rules of Golf, pace of play, code of conduct, weather-related decisions, yardages and hole locations are at the discretion of the Rules Committee and are final and non-appealable.

LOCAL RULES:

  • The requirement under Rule 3.3b(2) for the player or marker to certify (sign) the scorecard is waived for this competition. An unsigned scorecard will be accepted as returned and the scores will be treated as official. (Model Local Rule L-2)
  • List of conforming Golf Balls: Any ball used in making a stroke must be on the current list of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the USGA. (Model Local Rule G-3 Penalty for breach is disqualification)
  • The USGA One Ball Rule is not in effect. (Model Local Rule G-4)
  • Rules 5.5b is modified as follows: Between the play of two holes, a player must not make a practice stroke or test the surface of the putting green of the hole just completed. (Model Local Rule I-2)
  • Distance Measuring Devices (a.k.a. rangefinders) will be allowed. Devices are limited to measuring distance without slope. (Model Local Rule G-5)
  • At the discretion of the Rules Committee, players may be provided golf carts for transportation at any point during the competition. (Model Local Rule G-6)
  • Caddies will not be permitted during the competition.
